Advancing Precision Medicine in Oncology

We’re excited to share our work in advancing precision medicine in oncology at this year’s American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) annual meeting. With a portfolio of tests that support use of both tissue and blood-based comprehensive genomic profiling, we are able to identify known and novel genomic biomarkers to help inform treatment selection across all cancers. This year we’re sharing data on pan-tumor targets such as tumor mutational burden (TMB) and FGFR, important advancements in tumor types that previously had no clinically-relevant therapies, and our data collaborations with partners like Flatiron Health, which help inform research and accelerate drug development.

Looking at oncology – and ASCO – through a different lens

    Cindy Perettie, Chief Executive Officer

It’s that time of year again, and I’m feeling a little shocked at the realization that a whole year has passed since I started sharing my perceptions and observations of the oncology landscape through this forum. It’s been a year of change for me professionally – a new and exciting role, a new team and culture, a very different set of responsibilities – and a year of change for me personally, as my family and I have settled into a new home in a new city on the opposite side of the country.

What’s key to the next cancer breakthrough? The answer may lie in pan-tumor biomarkers

BRIAN ALEXANDER, MD, MPH, CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER

Targeted cancer treatments, especially immunotherapies, are complex. Understanding in which patients they will work, and just as importantly in which they won’t, is not easy. However, when patients are matched with a treatment approach based on the genomic insights from his or her individual tumor profile, the outcomes can be significant.
